Monday's class was a lot of fun. I've always liked warm ups in drama, and this was kind of like an extended one. I had a tougher time with the mirroring exercise because it was done in a different manner - trying to move simultaneously rather than having one person lead, which I thought was very cool.
I finished ROAR as well, and I really liked it. It was incredibly interesting that the end of the play ended with an indefinite answer:
IRENE: Do you think I can make it work?
KAREMA: Maybe.
(p. 72)
It was kind of weird how it wasn't resolved, but also on the other hand really cool because it is very realistic; the husband/father has run off with the aunt, leaving the mother and the daughter to fend for themselves. They don't know if they can make it, and the play reflects that.
